Getting the Boot

Any college student who has a car, knows the fear this sign strikes into anyone trying to park.

These kinds of regulations not only cause fear of a ticket or even towing, but also frustration because there usually is very little to no parking in most of the awfully designed apartment parking lots.

 

What I find to be really ironic is this boot idea. 

Can you just imagine sitting in on the meeting where 

they decided that this was a good idea?

"Well we don't want these hooligan college students 

parking here if they don't have a parking permit, 

but what can we do about it?" "I know! Lets put a boot on 

their car so they can't move their car from that 

parking spot unless they pay us money!"

.........

Am I the only one who sees the irony here? 

Not only does this cause frustration to people who do 

have a parking permit who now have one less parking 

space in an already crowded parking area, but the person 

who got "booted" now has to wait for the usually 

"slow to get to you," parking enforcement 

just to give them money. 

Something needs to change.
